This homegrown Victoria’s Secret model has got our radar, uh, pulsing.
So maybe she’s a familiar face to many young, hormone-fuelled men, but we’ve just discovered one of South Africa’s most beautiful exports – 21-year-old Candice Swanepoel.
Candice was born in Mooi River (it’s definitely something in the water!) in Kwa-Zulu Natal and at the tender, nubile age of 15 she was discovered in a flea-market in Durban. A True Hollywood Story if there ever was one…
Last week Candice was one of the Victoria’s Secret models in their annual lingerie show. Since most of the ‘seasoned’ angels are spawning and getting hitched (Adriana Lima, Allesandra Ambrosio, Heidi Klum), Candice has the runway cleared for her to become the hottest Angel in the catalogue. She flaunted her way down the ramp in a cute, edgy ensemble as well as a space-age inspired half-jumpsuit. But the clothes are rather incidental to her supreme hotness.
We love that there’s no other way to say ‘Swanepoel’ than the good ol’ boere way, and that Candice has kept her name instead of opting for a more Yankee-friendly alternative like some of our other exports in Hollywood. It’s Trrron, not The-ron, as Charlize might have you believe.
But I digress. Candice is not only making waves in the modelling world, but the webiverse is in love with her, too. There are hundreds of Candice Swanepoel montages set to cheesy R&B music on Youtube.
